VIDA'S COMMITMENT: To provide and support an intensified academic and life skills program
until they have successfully attained an occupation or profession.


Casa Hogar Para Ninos is an orphanage in Oaxaca, Mexico, where boys  
6-14 years old live together until, ideally, they can complete the 6th grade.  
Some are, unfortunately, recruited by relatives back to the streets and child labor.  
They've known hunger and child abuse.

  ¡VIVE OAXACA 2009!

Come experience Oaxaca's largest Indigenous celebration, the Guelaguetza in Santa Cruz!

Centeotl, Grupo de Danza y Baile de Santa Cruz, in collaboration with the Santa Cruz City School District, are hosting a celebration filled with music, dance, art and color entitled "Vive Oaxaca " and its Indigenous Communities. This event will be an opportunity to share with the citizens of California the pre-Columbian traditions that Oaxaca has to offer.
Participating Indigenous Communities include: Tlacolula de Matamoros, comunidad de Villa Hidalgo Yalalag, comunidad de Ejutla de Crespo, comunidades de San Pablo Huixtepec, Zimatlán de Álvarez, Putla de Guerrero, Huajuapan de León, San Pedro Totolapan, Cuilapan de Guerrero, San Miguel Sola de Vega, San Cristobal Lachiroag, Santiago Laxopa Ixtlan de Juárez, Zaachila, San Luis del Rió, Centro de Oaxaca, Santa Lucia del Camino, Zaachila, San Martín Tiljacete, San Pedro Ixtlahuaca, Salina Cruz, Tataltepec de Valdez Juquila, San Pedro Y San Pablo Teposcolula, Guelatao de Juárez, Santa Maria Xochistepec, Santa Gertrudis Zimatlan, La Raya, San Agustin de las Juntas, y Magdalena Tequisistlan-el istmo.
